FCA members are invited to a talk with Jonathan Capehart of the Washington Post. This talk has been arranged by the U.S. Embassy in Singapore with the Singapore Press Club. Jonathan Capehart will share his views on the U.S. political landscape post mid-term elections, and the year ahead for U.S. politics.
Jonathan Capehart is a Washington Post journalist and Pulitzer Prize winner. He is also a member of the Post editorial board and writes about politics and social issues for the PostPartisan blog. Jonathan is an MSNBC contributor, appearing regularly on Morning Joe and other dayside programmes. Prior to joining The Post in 2007, he was the deputy editor of New York Daily News’s editorial page from 2002 to 2005. He also worked as a policy adviser to Michael Bloomberg in his successful campaign for mayor of New York City, and was a national affairs columnist for Bloomberg News from 2000 to 2001. Jonathan was a member of the Daily News editorial board from 1993 to 2000 and together with the Daily News editorial board won the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Writing for their series on the Apollo Theater in Harlem.
