With countries like China, Japan, and the United States looking to innovation as a driver for their economies, Singapore also continues to remain committed to R&D that creates value for both economic and societal impact. Earlier in the year it was announced that Singapore would be embarking on a new five-year plan for research, innovation and enterprise (RIE). FCA members are invited to attend A*STAR’s 2015 Year in Review media briefing for a glimpse of the R&D efforts and outcomes during the last five-year RIE plan (RIE2015).

The briefing will cover the following:

  • A*STAR’s R&D efforts in RIE2015, to generate sustainable economic growth and make a difference to Singaporeans
  • How A*STAR works with the industry, to spur R&D investments and the creation of high-value jobs to power Singapore’s RIE ecosystem
  • A*STAR’s R&D strategies for RIE2020 and beyond
