We are pleased to announce that the CEO of Novartis, Daniel Vasella, will be hosting a private dinner for FCA members on Sunday, July 4. Vasella was recently voted the most influential European business leader of the past 25 years by readers of the Financial Times. He doesn't come to Asia often, so this is a rare chance to meet the head of the world's fifth largest pharmaceuticals company with $25 billion in sales. Vasella has overseen Novartis since it was created in 1996 in a merger between Sandoz and Ciba-Geigy, the largest corporate merger in history at that time. Aside from Novartis, Vasella sits on the boards of Credit Suisse, Pepsi and Siemens. Vasella will be joined by Dr Paul Herrling, head of corporate research, Novartis International AG and Chair of the Board of the Novartis Institute for Tropical Diseases. The dinner is reserved for ordinary members only
