The Marina Barrage is a dam being built across the Marina Channel (near downtown and the Singapore Flyer) and will eventually enclose a fresh water reservoir planned as a new lifestyle attraction, serving as the venue for international and local water sporting events and activities.

0930: Meet at Marina Barrage Visitor's Center.
1000: Media briefing on the Marina Barrage and Singapore Intl. Water Week (23-27 June 08) by Khoo Teng Chye, Chief Executive of Singapore’s PUB.
1040: Boat tour of the Marina Barrage.
1145: Tour end
1200: Lunch and Networking (optional) with PUB and Marina Barrage officials.
CLOTHING UPDATE: This is still an active construction site so members should wear jeans/trousers + socks for the visit to the barrage. You will be provided with safety boots on site.
During the tour, members will also hear the latest news on the Singapore International Water Week, the global platform for water solutions, which will be held in Singapore for the first time on 23 to 27 June 2008. This premier event will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, experts and practitioners to address challenges, showcase technologies, discover opportunities and celebrate achievements in the water world.

To help FCA members get to the venue, PUB has organized a shuttle to the barrage from Marina South MRT Station. The bus will leave the station at 9:10 am.
