Ms Sreenevasan, who is the former President of the Malaysian Bar Council, has a remarkable record of accomplishment in Malaysia. She has pursued judicial reform and good governance, stood up for religious tolerance, and proven a resolute advocate of women's equality and their full political participation.

In the face of death threats and intimidation, she has emerged as a strong voice of tolerance and justice.

Ms. Ambiga Sreenevasan will discuss judicial reforms in Malaysia, confronting sexism, gender equality and religious freedom of women.
