The Asia Foundation is organizing the conference "Current Developments in Southeast Asia:  Implications for U.S. - Southeast Asia Relations" on September 27 - 30, 2009 (see http://tafemergingleaders.wordpress.com/ ) 

The conference brings together policy makers, academics and journalists from the U.S. and Southeast Asia.

Come and meet some of them in a social get together, including John Brandon, Director of the International Programs at the Asia Foundation, and Jerry Martin, Asst. Director of the Asian American Exchange unit.

As finger food will be provided, courtesy of the Asia Foundation, we really need to assess numbers correctly. So kindly register with the secretariat.

However, please be aware that last time about 10 people or 25% of registrants to the drinks did not come. So kindly register only if you are coming and let us know if you change your plans.
