FCA Members and their guests are invited to the NUS Museum for a guided tour of some of its latest exhibitions, including Between Here & Nanyang: Marco Hsu's Brief History of Malayan Art; a show that highlights questions of identity and nation-building, and 'There are too many episodes of people coming here' (projects 2008 - 2014), an exhibition about exhibitions.
This year, the NUS Museum marks the 60th anniversary of the founding of the University of Malaya Art Museum, its predecessor institution. It is a comprehensive university museum for teaching and researching, focusing on Asian regional art and culture. Its 8,000 artworks and artefacts are divided across four collections, the Lee Kong Chian Chinese Collection, the South and Southeast Asian Collection, the Ng Eng Teng Collection and the Straits Chinese Collection.
The guided tour is complimentary. Please register directly to museum@nus.edu.sg by Friday 3 July.
