The Singapore Press Club is hosting this year's annual meeting of the International Association of Press Clubs (IAPC), of which we have just became member. The SPC is hosting a get-together at its new Club House to welcome the visiting IAPC delegates and to enable members to find out more about the association, which has its general secretariat in Dubai. The IAPC aims to promote friendly contact among journalists worldwide and is working to set up reciprocal visiting privileges among its member clubs. The IAPC's website will be launched at the annual meeting here. The social evening will be a two-in-one event as we will also be launching our new Club House, which is a much bigger and better facility, that evening. Tiger beer (sponsored by Asia Pacific Breweries), wines, house pour with soda mixers, sodas & juices and tea & coffee plus dinner will be served.
