The New Face Of Pakistan ATTENTION: NO REGISTRATION THROUGH FCA!!!!! YOU HAVE TO SEND CHEQUE TO SINGAPORE PRESS CLUB SECRETARIAT. DETAILS AT BOTTOM The Singapore Press Club has kindly extended an invitation to all FCA members to attend a talk with Pakistan Prime Minister, Mr Shaukat Aziz, at their member rates. As some of you might know, Mr Aziz spent several years in Singapore during his 30-year career with Citigroup. In November 1999, he was appointed Pakistan's Finance Minister, and in August last year, he took over as his country's Prime Minister. The Islamic Republic of Pakistan is undergoing many changes. The fact that a professional banker was selected to be the country's Finance Minister speaks volumes of the winds of change blowing through the country. Among the many bold steps being taken by its leadership, Pakistan has joined the community of nations to wage a war on terrorism, as it joins the global mainstream. On the economic front, Pakistan is inviting foreign investment -- a step which has encouraged heavyweights like Temasek and SingTel to consider putting their money in the country. ATTENTION: No phone, fax or e-mail bookings. Send your cheque (write FCA on back) to Singapore Press Club, c/o Accredited Secretariat & Conference Services 150 Orchard Road #08-10, Orchard Plaza, Singapore 238841 Please again do not reply to this email as this is just extra-work for our secretariat which is not involved with this.
