The International Parliamentarians Conference on "Upholding a Rules Based System on Freedom of Religion or Belief" will take place on 30-31 October 2019, with a special time allocated for media attendance on the first day at 9:30-11:00 am at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Singapore. Ms Grace Fu, Minister of Culture, Community and Youth is the Guest of Honour at the Conference and will be opening the Conference with a speech.
This event will gather parliamentarians and legislators from all over the world to equip them with skills to respond to new challenges and trends in the field of freedom of religion or belief. This will be achieved by hearing from world renowned experts working in the field and by encouraging networking and learning between parliamentarians. The Conference will focus on human rights, specifically the right to freedom of religion or belief, as defined in Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Conference is organized by the International Panel of Parliamentarians for Freedom of Religion or Belief (IPPFoRB) and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS).
