EU Commissioner for External Relations, Mrs Benita Ferrero-Waldner will be in Singapore for an official visit on Tuesday, 10 October 2006. During her visit she will meet with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Senior Minister Goh Chock Tong and Acting Foreign Minister Raymond Lim. Her visit will emphasise the EU continued commitment to deeper political engagement with Singapore and the wider ASEAN region. During a lunch with the FCA, she will discuss this EU engagement with ASEAN, China & India, as well as the role of human rights in the conduct of EU external relations.
